RECREATIONAL WARRANTY

 

Lifetime Hull Warranty

Life Proof Boats warrants to the original purchaser that each boat hull shall be free from structural defects due to material or workmanship under conditions of normal use and service for a lifetime of ownership. Specifically excluded is damage caused by galvanic corrosion and electrolysis.

Limited Superstructure and Accessory Warranty

Superstructure and accessories manufactured by Life Proof Boats are warranted against manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. Excluded from this warranty are accessories, materials, fixtures, devices, components and systems not manufactured by Life Proof Boats that may carry their own, separate warranty which is passed through to the customer to administrate. Specifically excluded from this warranty (but not limited to) are windshield/window/door breaks and leaks, engines, engine components, steering systems, electronics, propellers, batteries, anodes, electrical components ,accessories, trailers, and any other component that may (or may not) be covered by a separate OEM warranty.

Limited Installation Warranty

All mechanical systems and components installed by Life Proof Boats are warranted against manufacturing defects for 90 days from the date of delivery; that installation of these items will be free from defects in installation workmanship. Specifically excluded from this warranty are customer supplied parts and accessories, top side and bottom paints, non-skid, upholstery and canvas enclosures.

Limited Collar Warranty

FAST (Foam Air Stabilized Technologies) collar systems and components are warranted as follows:

  • Interior foam is warranted against manufacturing defects for lifetime of ownership. Non transferable. ·

  • Outer collar membrane is warranted for 5 years from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. Specifically excluded is damage due to abrasion or puncture.

  • Interior air bladders are warranted for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. Specifically excluded is damage caused from high impact or over pressurizing.

Life Proof Boats obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing the hull, superstructure, manufactured accessories or collar component that has been determined, solely by Life Proof Boats, to be defective as stated above during the warranty period. No work may be performed without the written authorization of Life Proof Boats. If a warrant-able defect as defined above has been determined by Life Proof Boats to have occurred within the warranty period, Life Proof Boats will administer, through written communication, how which repairs pertaining to this warranty will be handled. Life Proof Boats makes no other express warranties, and intends no implied warranties. Implied warranties of fitness and merchant ability are also specifically excluded. Life Proof Boats also disclaims any liability for product failure or other economic loss arising from claims of negligence, defective design, manufacturing defect, failure to warn or instruct, lack of seaworthiness, and any other theory of liability not expressly covered by this warranty. Life proof boats will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to, loss of profits, rental of replacement equipment, or other commercial loss. Life Proof Boats reserves the right to utilize reconditioned, refurbished, repaired or re-manufacture parts in the warranty repair, replacement process. Such products may be of a different design or material but will be comparable in function and performance of the original product or part. Warranty repairs and replacements are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty. Life Proof Boats reserves the right to change and improve its products, designs and materials in new construction and warranty repairs without the need to incorporate those changes on existing boats. Speed, weight, fuel consumption and other boat characteristics are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. Warranty provisions can vary from state to state and you may have specific rights and warranties that vary from state to state.

This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by galvanic corrosion and electrolysis.

Owner’s Responsibility

No warranty repairs are to be carried out without the expressed written authorization of Life Proof Boats. Life Proof Boats must be notified, in writing, within 30 days of any claim. Warranty work shall be performed at Life Proof Boats manufacturing facility and it is the responsibility of the purchaser for all costs and logistics, haul out, trailering and delivery of the boat to the factory. This warranty is valid only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. For warranty on items not manufactured by Life Proof Boats it is the responsibility of the purchaser to send in warranty paperwork and seek warranty coverage including removal and reinstalling the item and shipping/delivering the parts to a repair location.

None of these warranties are valid for systems or designs that have been modified or structurally altered or subject to unreasonable use, improper docking or storage, lack of reasonable and proper maintenance, negligence or accident.



COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

LIMITED Hull Warranty

Inventech Marine Solutions, LLC (hereafter “Inventech Marine Solutions” or “IMS”) warrants to the original purchaser for a period of 5 years, that each boat hull shall be free from structural defects due to material or workmanship under conditions of normal commercial, military, law-enforcement, or other non-recreational use specifically excluding racing, subject to further exclusions below. This warranty is non-transferable. 

Limited Superstructure and Accessory Warranty

Superstructure and accessories manufactured by IMS are warranted for a period of 2 years from the date of delivery. Excluded from this warranty are accessories, materials, fixtures, devices, components and systems not manufactured by IMS that carry their own, separate warranty which is passed through to the customer to administrate. Specifically excluded from this warranty (but not limited to) are windshield/window/door breaks and leaks, engines, engine components, steering systems, electronics, propellers, batteries, anodes, electrical components, accessories, trailers, and any other component that may (or may not) be covered by a separate OEM warranty.  See the list of exclusions below for further details.  This warranty is non-transferable.

Limited Installation Warranty

Limited Collar Warranty

·         Outer collar membrane is warranted for 3 years from the date of purchase against seam failures and delamination. Specifically excluded is damage due to abrasion or puncture.

·         Interior air bladders are warranted for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase from failure. Specifically excluded is damage caused from high impact or over pressurizing.

Extended Warranty

The above stated “Limited” warranty periods for commercial and or government service may be increased strictly upon purchase and registration of an “Extended” Warranty coverage with IMS.  “Extended” Warranty only increases the duration / period of time in which the features are covered.  All other responsibilities / obligations remain the same.  See Table-1 Warranty Period Below:

EXCLUSIONS

This limited Warranty does not cover or extend to any of the following:

(a)     Hull or component failure or defects that are a result of abnormal wear and tear, climatic conditions, commercial use, racing, rental, charter or military use; abuse, misuse, negligence, overloading, modification, vandalism, lack of proper maintenance, accident, collision, or striking an object, fire, other casualty loss or docking damage.

(b)     Alterations and modifications, without first obtaining the written authorization of Inventech Marine Solutions, shall be excluded from coverage as it relates to the alterations/modifications or any condition affected by those alterations/modifications. 

(c)     Windshield, window, or hatch breakage, leaks or damage. 

(d)     Engines, propellers, gyros, stabilizing systems, batteries, air conditioning units, fuel tanks and appliances which include stoves, refrigerators, ice makers and microwaves; and components not originally installed by Inventech Marine Solutions.  Warranties provided to Inventech Marine Solutions by component manufacturers will be passed on to purchaser as allowed by the component manufacturer. 

(e)     Tears, fading, discoloration, deterioration, damage, or mildewing of curtains, cushions, tops, headliners, cockpit, sole covers or other fabric or upholstered components. 

(f)      Blistering, fading, chalking or cracking of any paint, or metallic finish, minor cosmetic defects and air voids. 

(g)     Electrolysis, galvanic corrosion, crevice corrosion or any other deterioration of underwater components.  Any damage or deterioration to any metal surface (above or below the water line), including but not limited to painted metal or stainless steel finishes or zinc anodes. 

(h)     Statements, advertising or representations that estimate the speed, weight, fuel consumption and other performance characteristics of the vessel. 

(i)       Components repaired or replaced unless repaired or replaced in accordance with this warranty. 

(j)       Installation of engines, jack plates, parts or accessories installed or repaired by anyone other than Inventech Marine Solutions.
